About Cristina:
Cristina was born in 1954, in Bucharest, into a family that valued culture and art.
Cristina began drawing and painting at an early age, but chose to pursue a degree in civil engineering, specializing in architecture and construction at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. She lived in Sweden from 1986 to 1995 before moving to Norway.
In Norway, Cristina pursued a career as a researcher at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, a quality management professor in both the private and public sectors.
In the fall of 2017, Cristina and her husband settled in Skogbygda. At their home, they created a gallery (CC Art), which also houses Cristina’s workshop and workspace. Here, works from Cristina’s collections are exhibited, as well as pieces by other artists. The gallery space is also used for drawing and painting courses.
Cristina’s great passion is painting, preferably in acrylic. She has participated in numerous painting courses, led by well-known painters in Scandinavia, and attended the Nydalen Art School in Oslo for many years. Since 2011, Cristina has organized over 31 exhibitions in Norway, Romania, and Iceland. In a local newspaper, her work was described as “the soul of a human on canvas.”
